Michele Driskell Obituary

Michele L. Driskell, 55, of Mokena, Ill., passed away on Thursday, Aug. 14, 2025, at her home in Mokena after a courageous battle with cancer. Her amazing will to live led her to amaze her friends and family with her unbreakable spirit to the end. Michele had a tremendous positive energy that touched all who came into contact with her.
A celebration of life party will be held shortly in the future to honor her amazingly kind, loving and generous spirit. Family and friends are invited to gather, share memories, laugh and celebrate the remarkable life of a woman who gave so many sweet memories to others.
Michele was born Sept. 19, 1969, in Macomb, the daughter of Alan and Katherine (Henry) Driskell. She was engaged to Michael Stachowicz and together in their lovely home they shared a life filled with love, family and friends.
In 1993, Michele earned her Bachelor of Business degree in Finance from Western Illinois University in Macomb. She dedicated her professional life to supporting all of her colleagues, working for many years in the health profession to get people preventative health testing. A great number of her clients became lifelong friends.
Michele is survived by her devoted fiancée Mike Stachowicz; her sister: Wendi Harrell (husband Eric Appelquist), and brother Phil Driskell (wife Helen Driskell); her beloved nephews and nieces: Chris Harrell (wife Alicia Harrell, children Camden and Carter Harrell), Catie Harrell (fiancée Brian Lemenager), Nolan Driskell, and Caelan Driskell; and her treasured stepchildren Anna Stachowicz and Alyssa Pachuta (nee Stachowicz).
She was preceded in death by her mother Katherine Driskell; her aunt, Patricia Naylor; and her cousin, Erin Philyaw.
Memorials in Michele's honor may be made to Colorectal Cancer Alliance or any cancer research group or organization that cancer illness has touched your family or friends.
Michele will be remembered for her beautiful warm smile, her amazing singing ability, her compassion for all people, her gentle strength, her unwavering love for her family and the warmth she brought to every room. She leaves behind a legacy of kindness, professional creativity and compassion.
