Philip Brevick Obituary

Philip S. Brevick, 62, went home to be with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, on Aug. 7, 2025 while at St. Louis University Hospital, Missouri.

Phil graduated from the Columbus College of Art and Design with a major in illustration, and a minor in advertising. He worked for 21 years as an art director in advertising before devoting his time to his own wildlife art. As a talented wildlife artist, he received many awards for his pieces. His desire was to create powerful images that were more than just "nice paintings" but that captured the emotion of the subject in a way that no one else had ever done before.

Phil loved God. His favorite verse from the Word was Ezekiel 36:26. Phil loved his family and friends dearly. He had a kind heart, a silly sense of humor, and a love for nature. His last wish for everyone was to "Have a good life." A gathering to celebrate his life will be held at 1571 North State Highway 96 in Hamilton, Illinois on Aug, 23, from 4-7 p.m.

Phil was preceded in death by his parents, Arnie and Francie Brevick and brother Arnie Brevick. Phil is deeply loved and missed by his wife Jennifer of 29 years, children Philip and Jil, brother Dan, brother and sister in-laws, uncle, nieces, nephews, cousins, and many friends.

Thank you to everyone for your thoughts and prayers for Phil and his family!
