Sidney Brown Obituary

Our beloved Mom passed away Oct. 7, 2025, with family at her side at Hospice House in West Burlington, after a courageous five-year cancer journey. She will always be remembered for her kindness, independence and heart of gold.

Sidney Kay King was born May 19, 1939, in La Harpe, Ill., to George Sydney King and Evelyn Carnes King. Sidney raised four daughters, Lani (Allen) Gray, Leslie (Ronald) Pezley, Leah Storms, and Lori Vincent. "Gram" enjoyed eight grandchildren: Lauren, Patrick, Bryan, Taylor, Charles, Nichole, Michelle, Brett and 10 great-grandchildren: Mark, Jack, Faye, Hannah, Claire, Jackson, Connor, Owen, Kennedy, and Everly (passed away). Her siblings are Ron (Kay), Chuck (passed away) and Bob (Rita).

Cremation provided to honor Mom's wishes.
