William Harshbarger Obituary
He was born on Aug. 31, 1940, in Mt. Pleasant, to Harold and Ruth Bell Harshbarger. He married Ruth M. Rotter.
He was a truck driver most of his life and enjoyed going to auctions and car races. He was a race car driver for 50 years.
Bill is survived by his wife, Ruth Harshbarger of Fort Madison; two daughters, Kim (Shawn) Gallardo of Watsonville, Ccalif. and Barb (Chris) Wilson of Anamosa; one step son, Scott (Amy) Botkin of Noble, Ill.; eight grandchildren; several great grandchildren; one brother, Kent (Karen) Harshbarger of Mediapolis; and one sister-in-law, Karen Harshbarger of Burlington.
He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, Larry Harshbarger, and two brothers in infancy.
Cremation has been entrusted to the care of King-Lynk Funeral Home & Crematory.
A visitation will be held 10-11 a.m. Saturday, March 12, with a memorial service to immediately follow at 11 a.m. at King-Lynk Funeral Home & Crematory.
A memorial has been established for Lee County Hospice or P.A.W. Animal Shelter.
