Ana Das Obituary
Ana Das, fondly known as Shyamoli, leaves behind a legacy of love and joy that touched many during her lifetime. Born as Anuradha Mitra on November 3, 1949, in Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh, India, she grew up in Kolkata, West Bengal and completed her education at South Calcutta Girls College. She embarked on a new chapter in her life when she married her husband, Priya Kumar (P.K.) Das, in September 1975. Ana and P.K. thrived in the United States, settling in Georgia and building a loving family that was the centerpiece of their lives.
Her husband's passing in January 2024 was a profound loss for Ana. She passed away peacefully at 9:52 PM on April 12, 2024 at her home in Alpharetta, Georgia, surrounded by her loving family and friends.
Ana was preceded in death by her husband; her parents, Nara Hari and Rama Rani Mitra; and her brother, Ashim Mitra. She is survived by her brother, Swapan Mitra; her son, Rupak Das; daughter-in-law, Tabitha (Taylor) Das; and granddaughter, Ryanne Celeste Das, all of whom she loved dearly and held close to her heart.
