Charlie Muchmore
Charlie Muchmore, 83, died on Feb. 7, 2022 in Helena, Montana.
Charlie was born in Missoula to Charlie and Arlene (Mickey) Muchmore. He grew up in Drummond with his brothers Marshall and Roger. Charlie graduated from Drummond High School in 1957 where he was a member of the boys' basketball team that won the 1957 State Class C championship.
Charlie married Donna Muchmore in 1958. He enlisted in the Air Force and served in the military for nine years. During that time Charlie and Donna had two daughters, Diana and Jackie.
After his discharge from the Air Force, Charlie explored different careers which took the family to different states. They eventually returned to Montana where Charlie served 20 years in law enforcement as both a Missoula County Deputy Sheriff and Chief of Police in his hometown of Drummond. Charlie enjoyed hunting and fishing and being outdoors. In his later years he enjoyed wood working and built furniture for his home.
The most important thing to Charlie, though, was his family. He is survived by Donna, his wife of almost 64 years and his daughters Diana (Dave) and Jackie (Todd). He had 4 grandchildren: Christopher (Karla), Sarah (Jimmy), Kelly and Thomas as well as 6 great-grandchildren: Christopher, Charlie, Faith, Elaina, Alex and Ariana. He is also survived by his brothers Marshall (Irene) and Roger (Lan) and numerous nieces and nephews.
The family would like to thank Compassus Hospice in Helena. Their kindness and support allowed Charlie to stay at home.
At Charlie's request no funeral or services are planned.
