Gwendolyn "Gwen" Smith
Gwendolyn "Gwen" Marie Smith, age 77, was taken home by the Lord Thursday, October 21st.
Beloved wife for 38 years of Ron Smith; loving mom of son David and fiancé' Summer; daughters, Debbie, Mikki and husband Rob, Rebecca, Cindy, Lora and husband Wes; dear sister of Deanna and husband Marvin, brother Rick, the late Darlene and late husband Mike, the late Albert "Pooch" Duane and wife Shirley; dear grandmother of 18 grandchildren; great grandmother of 9 great grandchildren and friend to many.
Gwen was born in Vancouver, WA on June 23, 1944 to Albert "Al" and Betty Eichhorn. Al worked as a pipefitter in various locations. Gwen met Ron in Missoula, MT while they were at a dance competition where each other needed a partner and went on to enjoy country swing dancing for years
Gwen loved her family more than life. Her warm smile and love of togetherness with family and friends was known by all. She loved God family and country. They were both involved in the North Valley Pachyderm Club where she was president.
Gwen is so incredibly loved by all and will be missed very much by everyone who had contact with her.
Her Celebration of Life service will be held November 13th at Lone Rock Bible Church, 1142 3 Mile Creek Road, Stevensville, MT at 1:00 p.m. Reception to follow at the church.
