Gloria and her father moved to the Clark/Higbee area and she would later attend Renick High School. It was during this time, she would meet the love of her life. Leaving High School early, she wed Ronald (Ronnie) Brandow in Moberly MO on December 3, 1960.
After marriage, and for the next 64 years, her family became the central focus of her life. Whether that meant having a professional career, managing the daily needs and lives of their growing family, or pacing Ronnie, she approached life head-on and with a great sense of humor. She spent part of her career in bookkeeping and accounting. She spent many years and made many great friends during her time at Banquet Foods in Moberly, MO. She also worked at the Missouri Area Training Center for Men as a Guard as well as a Deputy Sheriff for Randolph Country Missouri.
Gloria enjoyed the outdoors and gardening. She loved spending weekends camping and fishing with friends and family. She drove a motorcycle but loved riding behind Ronnie on their weekend rides with Johnny and Helen Faye Colley. Gloria and Helen met in elementary school in Clark and became lifelong friends. After spending several years in southern Texas, Gloria and Ronnie returned to Renick, MO. Her health began to decline shortly thereafter and she was later diagnosed with dementia.
She is preceded in death by her husband of 64 years, Ronnie, her parents, and her half-sister. She is survived by her sons, Clint (Heidi) Brandow and Chris (Tracie) Brandow, granddaughters Kennedy and McKinley Brandow, and a large extended family that she loved deeply.
