ROBERT ALLEN STARR Robert Allen Starr, of Clark, Missouri, passed away unexpectedly at home on August 6, 2025, with his loyal dogs, Luke and Ella, faithfully by his side. Robert was born in Chillicothe, Missouri, and graduated from Moberly High School in the Class of 1995. He had an incredible talent for drawing; there wasn't much he couldn't sketch with ease, and he had a deep love for movies. He could quote his favorites and talk about films for hours. He had a quick wit and a great sense of humor. Robert always had a funny comment or comeback ready and could get a whole room laughing. He loved the outdoors, hunting, golfing, just soaking in nature. He also had a soft spot for animals, even if he claimed cats weren't his favorite (he still brought a few home over the years). What he loved most, though, was being a dad. Robert was his kids' biggest fan and never missed a chance to cheer them on from the sidelines, usually loud and proud. He was happiest when watching Ryan and Charley play sports and was always the first to celebrate their wins. Robert is survived by his son, Ryan Starr; his daughter, Charley Starr; his sisters, Tracy E. Forney and Kathy Newlon; nieces, McKenna Forney and Morgan McNeal; nephew, Justin Forney; girlfriend, Sarah Cabanas; and a tight circle of lifelong friends who were like family. He was preceded in death by his dad, Michael Starr; his mom, Deborah Perry; and his stepdad, Wilbur Perry. A visitation to celebrate Robert's life will be held Friday, August 15, 2025, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Pathway-Millard Family Funeral Chapel in Moberly. In memory of Robert and his love for animals, donations can be made to the Moberly Animal Shelter.
