April 17, 1931 - December 15, 2015
Al lost his courageous battle with cancer and died peacefully December 15, 2015. Al was born in Stockton to Frank and Bruna Rica.
In 1966 he and partner Lloyd Hay formed FranRica Inc, named in memory of Al's late father.
A celebration of Al's life will be held at 11am on Saturday, January 30th at the Waterloo Gun and Bocce Club. Located at 4343 North Ashley Lane, Stockton, CA.
Cherokee Memorial Funeral Home is assisting with arrangements.

My wife and I would like to extend our sympathy to the Rica and Pierce family in this difficult time. Al will surely be missed by the people who knew and respected him. I came to work for Al and his business partner Lloyd Hay back in the 70's and worked for them until 2002 when the company closed and I retired with almost 30 years of service. Al and Lloyd were truly the pioneers of the Tomato Processing Industry.

The death of a loved one is so devastating and not always easy to get through alone. I found Phillipians 4:6-7 helps because we're encouraged to turn to God in prayer and He will give you peace and understanding as you endure this difficult time.

I worked with Al at Thermovac, Frank Bellato's company in 1960 at 316 Hazelton and 600 Wilson Way in Stockton,CA, Al and Lloyd were pioneers in the Tomato Procsssing industry.Al was a great guy, miss talking with him at lunch at the Ranch Coffee Shop on Mariposa Rd., Stockton.
