1922 - 2016
Martha "Alice" Reames, age 93, passed away on Wed., Jan. 27, 2016 in Albany, OR surrounded by her family. Alice was born March 25, 1922 to Clara Belle and Joseph Warren Dollar in Yarnaby, OK. Alice married Hulitt Lee Holcombe on Oct. 12, 1943. Son, Hulitt Alan, was born in Oct. 1944, daughter, Patricia, in April 1947. After the family moved to Oregon son, Ronald, was born in July 1949. Third son (nephew) Stanley Dollar was added to the family in 1960. Alice and Hulitt settled in Tigard, OR becoming founding members of the Tigard Assembly of God Church. Hulitt passed away in Nov. 1967. In Jan. 1972, Alice married Ernest Woodall Reames, living in Wilsonville, OR. Upon retirement, they moved to Modesto in 1994. They were active members of Big Valley Grace Church. Ernest died in 2003. Alice led and attended many Bible studies at church, as well as her home and had many dear friends. In July 2015, Alice moved into Assisted Living in Corvallis, OR. Alice is survived by her children, H. Alan Holcombe (Aleita) of Corvallis, OR, Patricia Thompson (Chris) of Tulsa, OK, Stanley Dollar (Patty) and Ronald Holcombe (Vanessa) of Avila Beach, CA, 9 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. Services scheduled for Feb. 8th at Young's Funeral Home in Tigard, OR. Burial at Crescent Grove Cemetery in Tigard, OR.
