Angela Josephine Cappai
February 9, 1921-December 31, 2014
Born in San Francisco of Maltese decent Angela was one of those "rare birds"...a Native of California. Her parents John and Mary Fenech immigrated to this country from Malta. They opened a grocery store in San Francisco and raised 7 children. All stayed in California and raised their familys here.
Angie (as she was called) married Charles F. Cappai (Charlie) W6KNQ on May 25, 1940. They lived in San Francisco, Sonoma and then down the peninsula to San Carlos and Mountain View. For the last 25 years they have lived here in Modesto. They had a strong sense of family and passed that along to their children. Diane Borgman, Donna Bradley and Craig Cappai.
Mom was fortunate enough to enjoy 7 grandchildren who cherished her, Christopher Bradley, Melissa Sperling, Stacey Borgman, Corey Borgman, Kellie Cappai, Emily Cappai and Craig Cappai II, 8 great-grandchildren delighted her, C.J. Bradley, Elizabeth Sperling, Grace Sperling, Finley Borgman, Tsai Borgman, Sylvie Borgman, Aoife Borgman and Aedith Borgman.
Angie was a homemaker,an excellent cook and collector of receipes. She loved golf and bridge. A loyal fan of the Giants and 49ers she enjoyed watching all their games.
A member of Saint Joseph's Catholic Church Angie was visited in her final days by Father Mark for communion and final annoiting. Cliff and Mary Judd members of the church and recited the  "Chaplet of Divine Mercy" at her bedside.
Mom left on her Journey surrounded by her loving familty to the tune of "Silent Night" played on the harmonica by Jeff Lambert a dear friend.
Mom, Mama, Nana, G.G. we love you and will miss you always.
Services are private. Remembrances to Optimal Health Hospice Organization.

To The Cappai Family. I will miss Auntie Angie very much. I will miss our Sunday talks. I hope your tears of sadness will turn to laughs of happy memories. She'll always be in my heart. Love to all of you.
