Modesto, California - Barbara Lou Parrill was born on September 21, 1929, she died on April 20, 2024. Barbara left us peacefully after sustaining an injury from which she did not recover.

Barbara touched the lives of those around her as she was an easy person to like and be with; she was kind, funny, and engaging. She had an outgoing personality, was intelligent, and was generous, with a strong commitment to hard work.

Barbara was active in her community by volunteering on the Landmark Preservation Board. She was also a docent at the McHenry Museum & Historical Society for over 40 years. Barbara also was active in her church. After raising her children as a stay-at-home mother, she worked for Tri-Valley Cannery as an executive secretary for 20 years.

Barbara loved antiques, volunteering at estate sales, collecting dolls and china, as well as trips to the Monterey Peninsula, and traveling. She gained a vast knowledge of sports by supporting her husband of 49 years, the "coach", Carl Parrill.

Barbara L. Parrill is survived by her daughters, Betsy Parrill, Lynn Alexander, and Lauren Klein, as well as her son-in-law Bruce Klein and her grandson Rowan Alexander.

A celebration of life will be held on June 1, 2024 at 2:00pm at First United Methodist Church in Modesto. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the McHenry Museum & Historical Society, P.O. Box 3173, Modesto, CA 95353 in Barbara Parrill's honor. A reception will follow the service at the residence.
