Charles Boucher Obituary

CHARLES MONROE BOUCHER APR. 10, 1913 - NOV. 25, 2007 Charles Monty'' Monroe Boucher, 94, of Modesto passed away Sunday at his residence.

He was born in Miles City, MT and moved to CA in 1940. He then settled in Modesto in 1958.

Monty and his beloved wife Vivian were the owners of Monty's Cookery Restaurant'' on Kansas Avenue and later opened two other Monty's restaurants in Modesto and developed more than 50 varieties of Monty's pies. They retired from the business in 1987.

He was a past officer in the UCT and he devoted his time to travel, family, his dance club, organ club and several bridge groups.

Monty is survived by two sons Jerry and wife Sarah Boucher of San Rafael, James and wife Vera Boucher of Modesto; three grandchildren and seven great- grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his loving wife, Vivian Boucher, who passed away July 19, 2007 on the couple's 71st wedding anniversary. They were married July 19, 1936.

A visitation will be held 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM Friday, November 30, 2007 at Lakewood Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held 3:30 PM, December 1, 2007 at Lakewood Funeral Home. Memorial contributions may be made to Community Hospice, 4368 Spyres Way Modesto, CA 95356
