Modesto, California - Charlotte Jane Wiley passed away on April 8, 2021, she was 69 years of age. Her mother and father were Mark Bomboy Jr. and Marjorie Hughson-Bomboy . Charlotte was a lifelong resident of Modesto where she attended Downey High School and Modesto Junior College. She and her first husband Jimmy Dean Smith brought three children into the world; Shelly, Clyde and Mark Smith all who predeceased her. She loved her children deeply and suffered their loss throughout her life. Through her faith she found the strength to go on.
Charlotte was a homemaker while she raised her children. Later she worked outside of the home in various capacities. In most recent years she was employed by the Modesto Gospel Mission and Friends Outside where she found her calling in helping others in need. While she was employed by the Gospel Mission she met and married Jack Wiley.
She is survived by her husband Ellis Jackson Wiley, two granddaughters Shelly Brandenburg, Amy Smith, great grandchildren, brother Mark James Bomboy, sister Victoria Bomboy-Carlson and a niece Margie Wiley.

My Aunt Charlotte was very special to me. I have fond memories of times with her in my childhood and adult life. You are now with Jesus Christ in heaven. I miss you dearly and love you Aunt Sharshee.

Charlotte was good to everyone. She was always helping the homeless and less fortunate. She was my beloved friend and a beautiful person. She will be greatly missed. Love you Charlotte...fly high!!
