Dale Blagg Obituary
Dale served two years in the U.S. Army and fought in the Korean War, where he was awarded the Bronze Star Medal. After his military service, he and Betty settled in the Gratton area east of Hughson, California, where they operated a dairy and farmed peaches. Later, they owned and operated Blagg's Meat Locker Service in Waterford, retiring from the business in 1993.
He was an active member of First Southern Baptist Church in Waterford, where he faithfully served as a deacon, trustee, and in many other roles. After retirement, his favorite pastimes were fishing, gardening, and riding his horse.
Dale was preceded in death by his parents, Carmon Allen and Martha (Blagg) Allen; his brother, Wayne Allen; his grandson, Alex Aldrich; and his granddaughter, Cari Blagg Staley.
He is survived by his wife, Betty; his brothers, Delmar (Connie) Allen and Ronnie (Anita) Allen; his sister, Shirley Rich; his children, Paulette (Randy) Aldrich, Dennis (Donna) Blagg, and Arnold (Jaylynn) Blagg; seven grandchildren; and thirteen great-grandchildren.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, August 30, at 11:00 a.m. at First Baptist Church, 116 E St., Waterford, California. Lunch will follow.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the memorial fund at First Baptist Church, Waterford.

I fondly recall the days in Gratton with the Blagg family. It was a tight community, and the Blagg family made it better. Dale's life was one well lived, and I know there was a great welcoming in Heaqven for him. I send my sincere condolences to all those that loved Dale, and include my father Ham in that as well.
