Dana Morris-Mears Obituary

Dana Morris-Mears

January 15, 1968 - September 30, 2023

Modesto, California - Dana DeeAnn Morris-Mears passed away unexpectedly on September 30, 2023. She was 55 years old. Her memory will burn bright in the hearts of her husband, Robin Mears, two daughters, Anita Mears and Ceara Dupree, five grand children and the many friends and relatives who deeply mourn her passing.

Dana was born in Modesto, California on January 15, 1968 to Forrest (deceased) and Cheryl Morris. She was a loving, caring, generous woman who was adored by her five grand children. She always found a way to help those less fortunate even if she didn't have the means. She was smart, resourceful and easy to talk to. She had a great sense of humor and a compassionate nature making her a valued friend and confidant. Dana was also very creative and of her many talents, the delicate beadwork and beautiful jewelry she created stood out the most. It was a hobby she honed and enjoyed throughout her life. She will be greatly, enormously missed by us all.

In lieu of flowers or donations, the family requests (in Dana's honor) that you help somebody in need or show kindness to a stranger… Please pay it forward as Dana had done so many times in her life. She would've really liked that.

I am Dana's cousin, Ceara. Sadly, Dana and I lost touch over the years, but I do remember good times with all my cousins at gatherings. Prayers for the family through this tough time.

Dana, my sweet niece that I have loved and missed for years. The words written for your legacy here are exactly the way that I remember you. How I wished that you could have gotten out of Modesto so long ago. I have always loved you, your sisters, your brother and your family. I will forward kindness to another in your name. Let us pray that the Angels guided you to other loving family members and that you are in the loving and protective arms of GOD. I love you. Your Aunt Lynda

This has been the hardest thing ever for me, not having my mom. The person I called all the time, who I could talk to. I love you mom and I miss you so much and so do all your grandkids.
