David A Cerutti October 17, 1950 - October 30, 2017

David Cerutti, life-long resident of Modesto, passed away on Oct. 30, 2017 at the age of 67.
Dave graduated from Downey High School (1968). Following high school he pursued a degree from The San Francisco School of Mortuary Science, and worked for Salas Brothers Mortuary for several years. Later he owned and operated Crystal Clean Vehicle Laundry Systems; where he built, sold, and designed car wash systems throughout California and Nevada. Dave was passionate about cars and attended numerous automotive events. He always looked forward to the annual Monterey Car Week and Pebble Beach Events. He enjoyed socializing with friends and loved vacationing in Mexico. Dave had a large and diverse group of friends and was known for his quick wit, acerbic and sarcastic sense of humor and friendly personality. He also had a keen eye for design and flipped properties in the 1980's well before it was mainstream.

Dave had a great passion for animals and almost always had his red Doberman by his side. As the past President of The Stanislaus County Animal Services Advisory Committee, he enjoyed advocating for the betterment of animals and played an important role in the development of the new Animal Shelter. He was an active member of the College Ave Congregational Church.

He is predeceased by his parents, Ole and Gladys Cerutti. He is survived by his long-time partner Aaron Kellums, his sister Victoria Moonier (Dennis) of Portland, Oregon, his brother Martin Cerutti of Phoenix, Arizona, and several nieces and nephews.

A private celebration of life will be held in January. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his memory to the Stanislaus Animal Services Agency or to the non-profit organization, DonateLifeCalifornia.org
