David Harper Obituary

DAVID L. HARPER JUNE 1938 - JULY 17, 2007 getlogo,OB10,,,3 David L. Harper was born in Los Angeles, California. He passed away on Tuesday, July 17th in Merced. He was 69. David attended Ballico Elementary and graduated from Livingston High School in 1956. He joined the Navy for about 4 years. He then started a career in construction with Hydraulic Linings inc. out of Long Beach California where he built reservoirs throughout the state. In 1977 he moved to Delhi where he became a grower for Sun-Maid and Blue Diamond. David was also a Past Master of the Livingston Masonic Lodge and a member of Turlock Masonic Lodge. He enjoyed collecting coins, stamps, comics, and classic car memorabilia. As an avid car fanatic, he attended car shows and raced with his friends at the Monterey Historics at the Laguna Seca Raceway every year. He also enjoyed spending time with his family whom he loved very much. David was a dedicated family man and raised 4 children. He is survived by his daughters Eliz abeth of Hughson, Jennifer of Richmand, Virginia, and son Geoffrey of Turlock and stepson Roger Johnson of Ceres, He is also survived by his sister Bette of Fountain Valley.

Visitation will be Tuesday, July 24th; 10:00 am to 8:00 pm at Allen Mortuary.

A Masonic Funeral will be Wednesday, July 25th; 10:00 am at Allen Mortuary. Private Inurnment will be at Pomona Valley Memorial Park in Pomona, California.
