DORA ORTIZ SANCHEZ DEC 27, 1929 - DEC 24, 2008 Dora Ortiz Sanchez of Del Ray passed away Wednesday at Kaiser Permanente Medical Center in Fresno. Mrs. Sanchez was a native of Merced, CA and a resident of Del Ray for 28 years. She previously lived in Patterson for 25 years and was a Homemaker for 57 years. She was a avid gardener & was active in the Del Ray Senior Community Center. Mrs. Sanchez is survived by her husband, Abel Sanchez of Del Ray; sons, Daniel Saavedra of Patterson, Larry Saavedra of Delhi, Alex Saavedra of Newman, Mariano Saavedra of Livermore, Manuel Saavedra of Madera; daughters, Ruth Martinez of Newman, Becky Saavedra of Newman, Vicky Dibella of Los Angeles; brothers, Stanley Ortiz of San Jose, John Ortiz of Sunnyvale; sisters, Helen Ortiz of Yreka, CA, Cruz Rangel of San Jose, Ruth White of Georgia, Vickie Flores of San Diams, Delfina Benard of Alameda; 27 grandchildren and 24 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her two sons, Angel and David Saavedra. A Memorial Mass will be held at 1:00 pm, Wednesday, December 31st at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Patterson. Interment to follow at Patterson District Cemetery.
