Dorothy Peterson Obituary

Dorothy Laverne (Larson) Peterson aged 86 of Riverbank CA passed away peacefully at home on 19 Jul 2025. Dorothy was born 30 Nov 1938 to Helen Agnes Bos and Kenneth Floyd Larson in Fresno CA. On 13 May 1956, she married Darryl Gene Peterson and shortly thereafter moved to Castle Air Force base Merced CA where Darryl served as an Airman Second Class. Dorothy gave birth to two of their six children while living in Merced. Their remaining four children were born after they moved to Fremont CA. Dorothy enjoyed spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren, celebrating the holidays and serving in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints' California Oakland temple.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Darryl, and granddaughter Robin. She is survived by her children Deborah Pello, Julie(Steve) Francis, Steven(Fawn), Michael, Dena(Andrew) Savage and Daniel(Jennifer), 21 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren.
