Modesto, California - On Feb 6, 2023, Fern Pope, passed away peacefully at age 94 surrounded by her family. Fern graduated from Modesto High School in 1946. She was the art editor of the annual Sycamore.
She married Alfred R. Pope Jr in 1948. They had many happy years together until his passing in 1992. She is predeceased by her Mother Lulu Quinley, Father Ormal Quinley, Sister Orma Wentworth, Brother Charles Hagemeister.
Fern was a loving wife and mother. She is survived by her children Gayle Pope, Robyn (Jim) Aye and David (Cindy) Pope. Her Grandchildren Kevin (Amanda) Pope and Kelly (Ryan) Adamson. Great grandchildren Anderson, Julia, Beatrice Pope and Cambria and Emilia Adamson.
She was a member at Trinity United Presbyterian Church 1600 Carver Rd. for 60 years. There will be a service February 24, 2023 at 11 AM at Trinity. In lieu of flowers the family asks that those who are able donate to Community Hospice.
