Gary Eugene Silveria, age 74 of Modesto passed away Sunday, September 23, 2018, at Memorial Medical Center in Modesto.
Gary was born December 18, 1943 in Stockton, CA. He has lived in Tracy for 44 years and Modesto for 30 years. He is a retired owner of Gary Silveria Land Leveling of Tracy for 37 years. He loved to garden, fish, play pool, and was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church, and a member of the Knights of Columbus. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and friend to many.
Gary is survived by his wife of 29 years, Mary Silveria of Modesto; children, Darrin (Heidi) Silveria of San Juan Capistrano, Michelle (Vince) Petrucelli of Fresno; parents Eugene Silveria (deceased) and Beverly Silveria; and 11 grandchildren. He is also survived by Mary's children Robert and Sherry Sullivan. Additionally, he is survived by siblings, Denise Hayes (Roy Fowler) of Linden, Cheryl (David) Smith of Reno, Kim Hobson of San Mateo, and Lex Hobson of Portola Valley. He is preceded in death by his mother, Irene Hood and his grandparents, George C. and Mary Silveria, and William "Bill" and Mary Freitas
Visitation will be on September 28, 2018 from 11:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. at Franklin & Downs Funeral Home, 1050 McHenry Ave., Modesto, CA. A service on September 28 begins at 1:00 p.m. at Franklin & Downs Funeral Home in Modesto. Burial will be at St Stanislaus Cemetery.
