George Envia passed away on Friday, September 1, at the age of 88, in Turlock, CA.
Born on December 24, 1928 to John and Insap Envia, he grew up in Urmia, Iran. George met the love of his life, Nancy Anhar and on July 5, 1962, they married. After moving to Turlock, CA, George worked for Foster Farms until his retirement in 1994.
In his spare time, he enjoyed gardening and spending time with his family. A man of faith, he also devoted himself to the Assyrian American Civic Club and the Assyrian Church of the East.
George is survived by his wife, Nancy; his sons, Yubert, Shubert, and Albert; his daughter, Abby; his two daughter-in-laws, Holly and Christina; his six grandsons, five granddaughters, five nieces, and five nephews.
A Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, September 8, at Larsa Banquet Hall, 2107 E. Monte Vista Ave, Denair 95316. Interment will follow at Turlock Memorial Park, 575 N. Soderquist Rd., Turlock 95380.
