Gus Thomas Mouzes

21, November 2017
Gus was born on 24, July 1933 in Bridgeport, Nebraska. His parents Tom and Emphilia Mouzes moved the family to Turlock, CA in the 1940's. Gus graduated Turlock High. Gus played football on the undefeated State Championship squad of 1949. In the Navy he served on the USS Rainier (Korea). In December, 1952 Gus met his future wife Lauretta they married in 1954. Gus was a talented chef, he donated his skills to schools, who church and many community orgs. Gus farmed for over 60 yrs. He passed away of natural causes with his family by his side. Gus is survived by his wife Lauretta. Children: Tom (Susan), Sabrina, Phillip (Margaret), Maria, Mark (Debra). Sisters: Esther Mc Creedy, Tulla Monolakis, Mary Ann Darras.
Viewing: Sun. Dec. 3rd 7:00pm at Salas Bros. Mod. Religious services: Mon. Dec. 4th 10:30am at the Greek Orthodox Church, Mod. Interment: Lakewood Memorial Park, Hughson. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Greek Orthodox Church: Philoptochos Society or Hughson Fire & Rescue.
