Hubert Lloyd Brubaker

HUBERT LLOYD BRUBAKER MAY 30, 1927 - JAN 31, 2010 Hubert Hube'' Brubaker, 82 was born in Modesto California to Ben and Anna Brubaker. He graduated from Modesto High School in 1945 and kept many lifelong friends. He accepted Jesus Christ as his Savior and was baptized in 1945. He also received much comfort in knowing that all of his family shared the same faith in a saving relationship with Jesus Christ. Hubert married Margaret Ann Patrick on April 10, 1945. They lived in Indiana from 1949 to 1967, leaving many friends when they moved as a family back to Modesto, California to help his aging parents. Hubert was a well respected finish carpenter by trade. He also enjoyed taking care of the ranch, farming walnuts and almonds. Hubert and Margaret left the family farm on Beckwith Road in 2005. They moved into Modesto on Lancey Drive and were welcomed to the neighborhood and made many new friends, with whom they shared their faith. Hubert is survived by his loving wife Margaret, children Lee and Jeanne Brubaker, Jane Brubaker (wife of David Brubaker who died in 1991), Dennis and Ann Miller, Mark and Sue Brubaker and Joseph and Jane King, also survived by his sister Mildred Moore Garber and his brother John Brubaker (and wife Diane). He was blessed with, respected and loved by 16 grandchildren, their companions and 29 great grandchildren. Visitation will be held Tuesday, February 2nd from 4-8pm at the Wood Colony Hall, 3549 Dakota Av. in Modesto. The funeral service will be held on Wednesday, February 3rd, 1:00pm at the Old German Baptist Brethren Church located on Rumble Rd. with burial following at Wood Colony Cemetery on Dakota Ave. Remembrances may be sent to Brethren Heritage School or Interfaith Ministries. www.modbee.com/obituaries
