JACK FRANCIS DAMERON SEPT. 4, 1926 - NOV. 28, 2006 Jack Francis Dameron passed away at the age of 80, from a heart attack, at Memorial Hospital, Modesto on November 28, 2006.
Jack was born in Tryon, Nebraska and moved to California at the age of 2. He attended Turlock and Hughson schools, and Modesto Junior College. Jack served as an officer in many organizations in Stanislaus County, including The Farm Bureau, California Young Farmers, Gratton Grange, and Toastmasters. Jack farmed in the Hughson area for 60 years, and was a member of the California Cling Peach Association and the Pistachio Association. Jack loved farming, family, telling stories and visiting with friends and relatives.
Jack leaves Barbara, a wife of 61 years; 4 children, Anita Damiano (John) of Madera, Vivian Hussey of Lagos, Nigeria, Sam Dameron (Gail) of Modesto, and Donna Hatch of Modesto, 9 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren, and 7 brothers and sisters; Helen Rockwell of Davis, Ruth DeSando of San Jose, Harriett Marriott (Roger) of Turlock, Sam Kingery (Lucy) of Rapid City, S.D., Joan Lewis of Summerville S.C., Ronald Dameron (Leona) of Galt, and Harvey Kingery (Patricia) of San Jose. He was loved by all who knew him and will be sorely missed.
A Celebration of Life will be held in the United Samaritan Building in the Hughson Community Center, 2413 3rd street at 2pm on Wednesday, December 6th.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the United Samaritan Foundation, 220 South Broadway, Turlock, CA 95380.
