Jeanette Hubbard Obituary

Jeanette Carol Hubbard

May 1, 1930 - June 4, 2025

Modesto, California - Our Mother, Jeanette Hubbard says "CHEERS" to all of those that shared her life with her. She lived her life on her terms until her passing on June 4th, 2025 at the age of 95. She began her life in Minnesota and left on an adventure to California after graduating from nursing school. Her love of adventure led her to change her profession from nursing to teaching Kindergarten after getting married and having children. Our father was in teaching and they could then have yearly summer adventures. Our parents traveled to many places in Europe. As a family we traveled around the United States and after retirement my parents took their VW van and continued their travels. After our father passed, mom continued to travel and took to yearly cruising with family and friends.

Jeanette lived independently, drove herself around and walked most days with the most wonderful group of walkers, who started their trek in the early morning hours.

She will be greatly missed by those she met along life's path. She will be most greatly missed by her daughters, Jill Gnesa with her husband Hank, and Julie Boyle with her husband Dan. She also had 4 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren: Heather Gnesa Selman and her spouse Ryan, and their two sons, Mason and Cole. Eric Gnesa and his wife Lisa. Patrick Boyle and his wife Heather, and their son Paxton and daughter Penelope. Ashley Boyle Arnst and her husband Hadleigh, and their three daughters, Jane, Quinn and Lily. She will also be missed by her beloved dog Archie, her constant companion. Archie has been adopted by her granddaughter Heather Sellman and her family.

Jeanette will be missed by her family and friends, but her strength and independence will inspire all of us to live life every day to its fullest.

So let's all raise our glass and say a final "Cheers" to Jeanette Hubbard and a life well lived!

We lived at 1913 Ralston Ct until early to mid 70´s. Our last name was Villierme and there was 5 of us kids running around on the court. My aunt and uncle owned the house and their last name was Matthews.
I have so many fond memories of that court. My mom will be 95 and sounds a lot like your mother.
My condolences to your family

It´s with great sadness that I heard of Jeanette´s passing. For many years I so looked forward to her haircut appointment as much as she did. But, for me it was to hear about the next trip she was planning, recently returning from a new adventure, or just the family update. She was so kind, so generous, and always with that crooked little smile. Until we meet again my friend I feel BLESSED to have had shared my life with you as well.

In sadness my heart has broken to read this wonderful lady passed away.
She attended a Healthy Aging class at Alzheimer's dementia. Love by everyone she touched. I'll miss her so much and when I read this today my heart sank. She was determined to come back to eercise.
