JEREMIAH ALAN MAISETTI MAY 22, 1982 - AUG 17, 2004
Jeremiah was born in Modesto at Memorial Hospital and spent most of his childhood here. He attended Enslen Elementary School and made most of his lifetime friends there. Jeremiah was a talented baseball player. He was and outstanding 2nd baseman and had played on several championship Little League and Babe Ruth teams. As a student at Roosevelt Junior High he participated in basketball, and as a member of the Roosevelt football team, he had the opportunity to score the winning touchdown against La Loma Junior High in the famous Stick Game. Jeremiah attended Modesto Christian High School during his freshman and sophomore years and was a member of the school's basketball and baseball teams. He then moved to Escalon High. After high school he attended Modesto Junior College.
Jeremiah was an avid traveler. He had traveled through Mexico, Canada, and much of the continental United States. New Orleans was one of his favorite places and he spoke often of going to the Mardi Gras. As a young man of nineteen, Jeremiah back packed solo throughout Europe. He met and made many friends from numerous countries. He discovered many wonderful places and learned much about the world and himself.
Jeremiah was a great brother to Jordan and Jaxon, teaching them all the really important life skills, such as skate boarding, video gaming and baseball. His love for his brothers knew no boundaries.
After his brothers, Jeremiah spent the most time with his Auntie Sharie, who he called Shirley, and his cousin Christina alias Tee-Tee. They were a constant in his life and loved him so much.
Jeremiah's family will always remember his quick wit, his charm and good looks. His loving demeanor and open heart made him the first to offer to lend a hand to friends.
Son, Mom and Dad will miss you forever. There will always be a hole in our hearts for you. We will think about you every morning when we get up and every night before we go to bed. We are so happy for having you in our lives. You had not quite found your way to your fame and fortune, but we knew you would make it.
A memorial service will be at noon Saturday at Salas Brothers Funeral Chapel. Burial will follow at Burwood Cemetery, Escalon.
