Jeremy Fielder Obituary

Jeremy Christopher Fielder, 43, entered into rest on December 4, 2015. He was born on January 29, 1972 in Modesto. Jeremy is preceded in death by his father Mark Fielder and his grandfather Oliver Andrews. He leaves behind his loving wife of 23 years, Lora Leanne Fielder, his mother Gwen Fielder, his daughters Brittney and Riley Fielder, his grandmother Marie Andrews and his brother Steven (Kathy) Fielder.
Sgt. Jeremy Fielder was a family man before anything. He was a devoted husband, caring father, and a loving son. Family and tradition was very important to him. He was especially proud of his two daughters and all their accomplishments. He met his best friend and wife on March 23, 1988 on a blind date and spent the rest of his life with her by his side. He loved gardening, hiking, playing sports, and just spending time outdoors. Jeremy worked with the Sheriff's Department for 20 years, earned his Bachelors Degree in Business and in Criminal Justice, and his Nursing Degree from Merced College. He sadly passed right before his graduation ceremony, which was scheduled for the 12th of December. He was also a lifetime member of the NRA. Jeremy will be sorely missed and never forgotten.
Franklin & Downs Funeral Home is honored to be serving Sgt. Jeremy Fielder's Family. A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, December 19th at 11am at The House, 1601 Coffee Road in Modesto. I will always remember Jeremy as a dedicated Deputy Sheriff who used his knowledge and training in order to put 100% effort into his service to the department and the community. I lost touch with Jeremy over the years, but I am not surprised to learn he received his Nursing degree...dedication to service and his fellow Man. RIP Brother.

My family lived next door to Jeremy and his parents from 1977-1985. Jeremy spent many days in my backyard playing with my two son's. My husband and I send our deepest condolences to his mother Gwen and his wife and daughters.

I'll miss you Brother! I always love reflecting back on our soccer days together. Two guys running around, trying to convince ourselves we were still in shape!! I enjoyed sitting around before and after games with you and your family, throwing little Brittany up in the air and her chasing me around. Gosh she had to be about 7. It was always fun seeing you at work and being surprised at how much time had passed and realizing thei girls were all grown up and talking about my little girl now. You were always great to talk to and I will truly miss your friendship. Rest easy Brother.
