Joe Chipponeri Obituary

Joe passed away peacefully Saturday evening September 20th, 2014. He was lovingly surrounded by his family. He was born in Ceres, Ca. to Nicholas and Matia Chipponeri on November 25, 1935. He attended school in Ceres, Ca. Known for his prowess on the football field, he turned that tenacity into his work for Flagen Farms and Rainbo Bread. In his time owning a landscaping business, he continued his memorable life long work ethics. He loved to dance with his wife of 60 years, Oretta, Johnny Cash music, hunting, fishing, and woodcutting. He adored his children, grand kids, and great grandkids. He was always known for his friendly smiles and Italian heritage. Joe enjoyed the Oklahoma Sooners football and San Francisco Giants baseball. He leaves a wonderful family legacy of his wife, Oretta, sons, Joe Jr., Scott, and Todd, his grandkids, Jennifer, Jessica, Joey III, Austin and Gabby from Joe (Katrine), Joshua, Lindsay, Luke, Holly, Victoria, and Michelle from Scott (Felicia), Tristina, Kadence, Patrick ,and Gage from Todd (Janelle) and his great grandkids Tyler, Ryann, McKenna, Marron, Jesse, Logan and Elley. Preceded in death by his parents, brothers William, James, Nicholas, Andrew, and sisters Ann and Angie. He has a surviving brother, Augustino, and sister, Josie. Also, he has many loving in-laws, nieces, and nephews. A memorial service will be performed at Lakewood Chapel 900 Sante Fe Ave., Hughson, Ca. on Thursday, October 2nd, 2014 at 10 a.m. Please make any donations to breast cancer or diabetes research.
