Joseph Anthony Crumpler

February 18, 1982 - May 18, 2025

Riverbank, California - Joseph Anthony Crumpler was born on February 18, 1982, in San Jose, California. He passed away on May 18, 2025, at the age of 43 after a courageous battle with brain cancer. He was strong, determined, and fought with incredible resilience.

In 1991, Joseph's family moved to Turlock, California, and later settled in Modesto. They were devoted members of Prayer Mission Church of God in Christ. Joseph attended El Vista Elementary, La Loma Junior High, and graduated from Johansen High School.

From a young age, he had a deep interest in technology. He was largely self-taught, mastering the skills to build and repair computers on his own. As a teenager, he enjoyed video games and frequently hosted LAN parties at his home, where laughter and friendly competition were always welcome. He later earned a degree in Information Technology from ITT Technical Institute. Joseph began his professional career at Data Computers and eventually partnered with two friends to become a co-owner of Moji Technologies.

In 2008, Joseph married the love of his life, Alicias Jones. Together, they raised five beautiful children and attended One Church Modesto. Joseph was devoted to creating a warm, welcoming home where everyone felt comfortable and valued.

He was a loyal friend who cared deeply for those in his life. His faith was an important part of who he was. He often prayed for his loved ones and for strength in his own journey. Joseph was a loving and devoted father; his children were his pride and joy.

He found happiness in life's simple pleasures-listening to music, gaming with loved ones, creating videos, writing stories, sketching, and just spending time at home with his family. His creativity, intelligence, and kind spirit left a lasting impression on everyone he met.

Above all, Joseph will be remembered for his big heart, sharp mind, and the joy he brought into the lives of others. His presence was a blessing, and his absence will be deeply felt. He will be missed more than words can express.

A celebration of Joseph's life will be held on June 12th at 2:00 p.m. at One Church Modesto, 2361 Scenic Dr, Modesto, Ca. The burial will be held at Lakewood Memorial on June 13th at 2:00, 900 Santa Fe Ave, Hughson, Ca.

All who knew and loved Joseph are welcome to attend and share in remembering his life. A repast will immediately follow the service.

I had the pleasure of getting to know Joseph at my previous job at Dr Lynch´s office in Riverbank. He was a patient, polite and helpful human being that always offered a smile and a listening ear. I appreciated his understanding of my lack of technical knowledge and his willingness to help me figure things out on my computer! I remember how much he loved his wife and family. My deepest condolences in your loss and sadness at this difficult time.

The man we called Joseph was both a valued member of my business for nearly 20 years as well as a personal friend. I had the privilege of observing him grow through young adulthood into the initial years of marriage as a devoted husband, and then later as a just as devoted father. Joseph demonstrated gentle tolerance coupled with valuation of truth in both his speech and actions as he moved through life. We spoken often of the One he loved and followed, the One Whose hallmarks of grace and humility could not be separated from Joseph's own disposition. He lived his life valuing others more highly than himself. His incredible genuine smile now has no reason to ever cease as he, like the Psalmist, dwells in the house of the LORD, forever

What a beautiful tribute to Joseph! His love for his family, faith and friends was strong. He will be remembered for his friendliness, acceptance, kindness, honesty, playfulness, creativity and humor! He will be missed. He touched and enriched all of us. He was a gift.
