My father was my strength in this world. I loved him so very much and miss him terribly. He was a great man with a heart of gold! Kirk, ole bud, I remember you on the Pioneer HS swim team. When we swam a better than previous time, Coach "Dale" Anderson would take us to the Steak Pit as a reward. You and I always went back for thirds! RIP old friend.

It had been ten years since I last saw Kirk, but I still often think of him and smile with fond memories. That is the impact that he has made; he is greatly missed.

I was so saddened to learn of Kirk's death. He and I dated while at Abilene Christian and I will never forget what a really wonderful person and a kind and loving friend he was. May God bless all those that knew and loved him.

Kirk was the best coach any one could ask for, always there and always positive. He was a mentor and helped me grow up to the young man I am today. He will be missed. That pool deck will never be the same.

Dear Cindi and family
I will truly miss Kirk he was a special friend that I will never forget. The memories I have of working with him on the pool deck at Beyer for 10 years are some of my best. I was happy and honored to be able to be with him for a little while during his last hours. May god bless him and your family.

Dear Whitney and Family,
My deepest sympathies go out to you during this time. I have been thinking of you all since I heard the news of your dad's passing. I was able to read the article in the paper and I stand in awe at his contributions to our community. What an example he is to me. I also recalled many fun memories of swim team with him in high school. He was so encouraging and positive. I am thankful to have known your dad and your whole family. Kirk Lindsey was a great guy whom I had the pleasure of meeting during my years playing on the waterpolo and swim teams during the 94-97 school year. He was someone with a great attitude at every moment from what I remember. He was a dedicated coach and fun guy to be around.

Cyndi, Whitney, Shannon, Tiffany, and Lane - you have our prayers for the Lord's peace and comfort in this brief momemtary season of loss - Lois and I both know something of the pain of being separatd from a lifetime companion, but the great hope we share sustains us with the assurance of an eternal reunion.
Kirk's business and civic accomplishments are so admirable and his dedication to the kids in the aquatic programs at Beyer High have established lasting memories and affection for your family. I just wanted to add that another wonderful facet of this man's life was his devotion to God and the church. I will fondly remember Kirk sharing his spiritual side from the pulpit from time to time and his willingness to use his gifts of leadership and wisdom for the Lord's work.

Kirk Lindsey was a dedicated force to be reckoned with. I remember his years as an officer and then, as President of the California Trucking Association. He put in many volunteered hours to the commitment of the trucking industry. He will be missed, but his spirit will always remain. All my sympathy and prayers to Kirk's friends and family.

How lucky we all were to have known such a man as Kirk. Our children learned life lessons from him on the pool deck that they carry forth in their everyday lives. Lindsey Family- My thoughts and prayers are with you. Kirk was a wonderful man. He was a very influential person, and I was very lucky to have had him as my water polo/swimming coach. He truly made it fun for everyone. He did so much than that for the whole community.

I am so proud to say Kirk Lindsey is my cousin! All those trips to Yosemite did count!! Kirk has always been a remarkable man with a heart of gold, and lived with the intention to make a difference everywhere he could. My dear Cynthia and family...although it has been many years since I have seen Kirk, I so strongly remember our many visits when I became his New York Life Agent. I was privleged to not only be his agent, but his friend. We were both very active in the community during the 70's and Kirk never said "No" to my many requests for help with projects. His strong sense of compassion for others, his dedication to hard work and his love of family are a legacy that will be forever cherished my those who were blessed to know him. Dear Cindi and family, I am so sorry to hear of this loss. I so enjoyed Kirk and his ability to see right to the heart of a situation and gently solve the problem and to be so supportive. I can't help but to think of the soccer team I put together called "The Flames" with Tiffany as a player. During our first organizational meeting I decided that I didn't want the hassle and cost of buying sweatshirts for the all-star season. After the meeting Kirk came up to me and quietly said, "Steve, those sweatshirts are important. They help the girls show they are part of the team, a unit. You might want to reconsider." I still have my sweatshirt and enjoy wearing it. I'm sure that that made just enough of a difference to help us win the tight games. Thanks Kirk for touching our lives.

Cindy and Family,

We want you to know that we will be eternally grateful for the coaching, mentoring, friendship, care and love that Kirk gave so freely to our own children as well as to the hundreds of other young lives whom he so graciously touched in the years that they and we were blessed with his presence amongst us. We are so very sad to lose my cousin, Kirk. My heart aches for all of you, Carol June, Anne and everyone who loved him so much. Dear Cyndi and family,
I was lucky enough to meet your family during my working days at Somerset. Shannon was a student at that site with our daughter, Erin. It was a pleasure to see such family support...on our school site and later over our district when Cyndi was a valuable Board member.
Kirk was a loving, teddy bear of a man and his wisdom and caring left a big impression on those he interacted with. What a family !
May you all be lifted in spirit as you recall the many wonderful times of being together.

My first memories of Kirk were our talks as he drove me home on many occasions from babysitting. As I grew up the conversations became more complex and focused on goals, college, and working towards a career path.
Kirk was a great businessman, well-respected by all, and seemed to enjoy motivating people and getting things accomplished. He definitely left his mark on the community and with me.

I was so sad to see the news flash yesterday about Kirk's death. He and I worked together on several boards during my days in Modesto and at The Bee. I liked and respected him very much.
As you may know, we lost our 18 year old son almost 2 years ago. Ryan was a water polo player and was dating a Beyer water polo player when he died. I'm picturing Ryan and Kirk meeting up in Heaven, discussing water polo, swimming and Natalie - Ryan's girlfriend and Kirk's water polo player.
You are close in my heart during this awful time of such a huge loss for your family.

Your dad had a way of making you feel special even when speaking to him only briefly. In addidtion to working with him through Oak Grove Trucking, I heard him speak for the Modesto Chamber of commerce and on the radio and He was an ispiring speaker. He will be missed.

We have many many years of fond memories of Beyer Crab Feeds, Beyer Athletic Boosters, committee meetings, board meetings and snack bar duties, all of which included the Lindseys happily right in the middle of it all!

Mr. Lindsey was my swim coach for 4 years in the early 1990s and he was wonderful!! He could probably tell how nervous I was when I went out for swimming; but he looked at me with a sort of confidence that truly pushed me to believe I could race any event he asked of me. I'm sorry to hear about Kirk's passing. He was my swim coach at Beyer in the early 90's. I will always remember how well he dealt with us girls in our crazy, hormonal, teenage years. Committed to the end, Kirk was a rare bred. He truly loved the time he spent with his polo girls and he left a big impression on each of them, including mine. He taught by example and never asked for more than he gave to each of them. He is irreplaceable and will be missed by so many. My prayers are with his family.

We send our most sincere sympathy for the loss of Kirk, who was a truly dedicated, community oriented and caring man. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him. As parents it was so nice to have such a kind and committed coach for the kids. They knew he cared for each of them and was a tremendous support to them at a very important time in their lives. Dear Cindy and family,
Please accept our deepest sympathy for your loss. Kirk was a person who did not let things deter im from doing what he wanted to do and I know he is smiling down saying "well, get on with it".

Kirk, was an integral part of my young adulthood memories. As our waterpolo coach, he was an amazing mentor to all of us all - truly giving, supportive and kind. His life is one that we should all strive to emulate - that is, to make the community where you live as best it can be. Kirk lived by this edict, and his enthusiasm and kindness were apparent in all that he did. Kirk will be missed by so many - my thoughts are with his family and all of those whose lives that he touched along the way.

Two of my favorite memories of Kirk as our water polo and swim coach at Beyer High are riding in the "Dial-A-Kirk" to tournaments and swim meets and having IHOP every year before Sections.
He was always there to encourage me when I needed it most even if I gave him a hard time. Kirk devoted so much of his time to all the players. He was a very important and positive influence in my life. He will be greatly missed.
