Larry Lavaun Goodman

LARRY LAVAUN GOODMAN OCT 18, 1939 - JUN 13, 2011 Larry was born in 1939 to Harold and Vaunda Goodman in Modesto, CA. As an only child, he was raised in a large and prominent family on the Triangle Ranch on the Tuolumne River where he was able to live many years and raise his own children in wonderful surroundings. He lived most of his life in Stanislaus County, but also lived many years in Livingston, CA, and made many friends. He also lived in Wyoming working as a cowboy for a time as well as Arizona in later years. He spent his final years in the home his grandfather built in Empire CA. Through the years he enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, packing, riding horses and motorcycles and working with cattle. Through his life he raced cars, drove truck, ranched, and was a farmer, cowboy and mechanic. He was a 4-H leader, member of the Empire School Board and Lions Club member. He was a husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather. He enjoyed music, from the big bands of his childhood to rock & roll. As a young man he played trumpet with his father in the Modesto County Band. He is survived by his daughter Sybil, son Doug (April), grandchildren Dillon (Ashley), Grace, and great grandaughter Kassady. www.modbee.com/obituaries
