Leo Harley Schuber Jr.

July 3, 1953 - March 15, 2024

Modesto, California - Leo Harley Schuber Jr suddenly left this world on March 15th, 2024 at the age of 70, after a long battle with his health. He was born in Modesto, California and attended Grace Davis High School. At a young age, Leo became heavily involved in playing different musical instruments. One instrument in particular that he perfected was the drums. Leo was apart of the Blue River Band as a drummer. They would play at many different functions such as weddings, parties, and on some occasions, would play at Hobo Joe's on McHenry Avenue in Modesto. Aside from drumming, Leo would work as a vehicle mechanic for the majority of his life at both Heritage Ford and K-Darpinian & Sons Inc, where he would retire in 2018. Simple outdoor pleasures brought great joy to Leo. He was an outdoorsman who loved fishing and camping, and was a member of the Old Fisherman's Club. Anytime he went on an adventure, you could find Leo with his dog, Rader. In addition to his outdoorsman life, Leo was a proud member of the E Clampus Vitus Chapter 58. He loved and participated in many of their doings. Leo is preceded in death by his mother Vida Schuber, father Leo Schuber, brother Douglas Schuber, and stepson Josh Ward. He leaves behind a son, Leo Schuber III, and a sister Linda McDaniel. A funeral graveside service will be held at Lakewood Memorial Park on Tuesday, March 26th at 11:00am. Following his service, there will be a luncheon at the Fruit Yard Banquet Room on the corner of Yosemite Blvd and Geer Road at 12:00pm. We all know Leo is with everyone today and is jamming out on the drums to all the fun memories that were created during his life.
