Linda Leah Posegate left this life for eternity on September 6, 2016, of cancer, at age 82. Both her life and her death were marked by grace, strength, and confidence in her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.Linda was born in Chico, California to Glen R. and Dixie M. Harris. She grew up as little sister to Gene and big sister to John. She attended school in Richvale and graduated from Biggs High School in 1951. She enrolled at Chico State University but left her studies to marry Carl Lawrence "Dux" Anderson in 1952. They settled inTurlock and raised four children there.
Along with Dux, Linda was an active member of Turlock Covenant Church (formerly Beulah) where she could usually be found either in the choir or in the kitchen. After Dux's death she entered a new phase of life with her marriage to Robert D. Posegate.
Linda was preceded in death by her parents, husbands Dux Anderson and Robert Posegate, as well as son Chris Anderson and son-in law Dave Posegate. She is survived by her brothers Gene (LaMoyne) and John (Marny) and their children and grandchildren, daughters Elise Anderson, Beth Webster (Stewart), and Aileen Hill (Gary), grandchildren Jake Hill (Amber), Claire, Patrick, and Laura Webster,Elizabeth Vish (Nathan), Rebekah Harding (Patrick), and Thomas Posegate (Heather), and great-grandson Carl Lawrence Hill.
A celebration of Linda's life will be held on Saturday, October 8, at 11am at Turlock Covenant Church. Memorial gifts may be given to Turlock Covenant Church Benevolent Fund or Mission Springs Conference Center. For further details see
