Lola Lombardi Obituary
June 30, 1924 - May 11, 2012
Resident of El Granada
Lola Lombardi passed away peacefully with her two daughters at her side, on May 11, 2012, in Tracy. She was 87 years of age.
Born and raised in EI Granada to Italian immigrants. She graduated from Half Moon Bay High School in 1942. Upon graduation went to work in San Francisco at Standard Oil Company with her twin sister, Lily. She quit working in February, 1945 to marry her husband, Joseph Lombardi. They were married for 56 years.
Together they farmed the family ranch. They farmed artichokes, brussel sprouts and peas. They raised their two daughters on the farm. She went to work at Lenkurt Electronics in San Carlos for over 25 years. At retirement, she volunteered to serve senior meals at the Senior Center in Half Moon Bay for many years.
She is predeceased by her loving husband, Joe, in 2001; Also predeceased by her parents, Arcangelo and Assunta Toschi; sisters, Theresa Benedetti, Angelina Moravec, and her twin sister Lillian Kastl.
She is survived by her two daughters; Sharon (Modesto) Paguel of Tracy and Linda (Jerry, Sr.) Langrell of Ceres; survived by grandchildren Lisa Rocha of Tracy, Greg (Whitney) Rocha of Montara, Jerry Langrell, Jr. of Ceres; Great-grandchildren Devlin Rocha and Shiloh Rocha of Montara and Vanessa of Tracy; Also survived by sister-in-law, Virginia Francis of Half Moon Bay; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Gordon and Marie Engel of San Francisco, and brother-in-law, Louis Kastl of Half Moon Bay; survived by many nieces and nephews.
Family and friends may visit on Thursday, May 17th, after 5pm and are invited to attend a Rosary Service, 7pm at Miller-Dutra Coastside Chapel in Half Moon Bay. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Our Lady of Pillar on Friday, May 18th at 11am follow by a Committal Service at Skylawn Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a charity of your choice or to Lady of the Pillar Church, 400 Church Street, Half Moon Bay, CA 94019.
