Not many people know this but it was his little Bible Study at Stan St. that I attended the first time back in 1999 that the Lord used to save me. We continued to go to his house every once in a while for a small Bible Study!

Goodbye brother Lowell, a true christian as you practiced walking in the path Jesus laid out for us. Your life is a testament to your good works. The world lost a good man when you passed. You will be missed by many.

Our brother Lowell was always a great example of humility and dedication to living as a true disciple of the Lord Jesus. We pray for his family to pass on that great heritage.

Mr. O was a great substitute teacher and though I never knew him personally, I could always tell he was a loving, caring man.

A finer man, I have never known. He loved God with the faith of a child and the spirit of a warrior. His friends will miss him dearly. I hope his grown children know that people are mourning for their dad all over the country. May he inspire them and all of us who knew him to live a life pleasing to Jesus Christ and satisfactory to the dictates of our own honest conscience. His courage and dedication will never be forgotten. Rest, well, my dear friend. Enter the joy of your Lord.

Lena we are so sorry to hear about Lowell. This is a terrible tragedy. He will certainly be missed.Prayers go out to you and the family. I grew up with Lowell as we lived on the same street and spent many days and years together until he left for Claifornia and I went away to school. We have many memories and fun times fishing, basketball, baseball, just to name a few. We were always doing something together. What a loss and he will be missed. Memories live on though.
God Bless.

I met Lowell Oldenburg when he was an industrial arts teacher at North High School in Salinas CA in 1967. . He was a member of Calvary Baptist in Salinas, a church that supported us as missionaries. He later came on Campus Ambassadors Missionary for those many years at Stanislaus State. We were friends and I always had a high regard for his great love for Scripture memory and practiced what it said. Thank You God for these great memories. Bob and Dorothy Berger, Hood CA.

I was sad when I heard that Mr. O had passed, he was always a great relief when we had him for a substitute. I always enjoyed having him, and having him joke with us. Never once did he ever tell us his last name. He will always be mysterious Mr. O to me, and the school has lost an amazing substitute teacher. Not many substitute teachers appreciate the students like he did. Gone but never ever forgotten.
