Mary Reece Obituary
October 9, 1952 - January 1, 2025
Nampa, Idaho - Mary Lou Reece, beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, peacefully passed away on January 1st, 2025, at the age of 72. She was born to John William and Lois Elaine (Stamy) Rumble in Modesto, California on October 9th, 1952. She shared a joyful childhood with her five siblings: Dan Rumble (Jane), Jeanne Sink (Bill), Charlie Rumble (Linda), Jamie Rumble (Karen) and Becky Miller (Nate). She accepted the Lord into her heart at an early age. Lou married David C. Reece in 1978 and they had a marriage that spanned 46 years. Lou's legacy is carried on by her two sons and their wives: Justin & Siska Reece, Jason & Kassandra Reece. After moving to Nampa, Idaho they enjoyed their five grandsons: Logan, Levi, Silas, Solomon and Theodore. Lou retired after years of service as both a nurse and a schoolteacher. She found great joy in quilting, cooking, baking and hosting gatherings. Above all, she did everything to the glory of God.

A celebration of Lou's life will be held in Idaho on January 8th and on January 14th, 2025 at Wood Colony Hall, 3549 N. Dakota Ave. in Modesto, CA at 3:30 p.m. For more information or addresses, visit:

I am so glad to have had Lou in my life! She was a constant Christian with a ready smile. Conversation came easily and openly. She was Miriam's teacher at Wood Colony, so her influence continues. We know the family is leaning heavily on the Lord, but also have the comfort of knowing she has transitioned to seeing Jesus face to face, while we await the reunion!
