Hilmar, California - Michael Pimentel passed away on Tuesday, March 2nd, in Merced, CA. He was 75 years old.
Michael was born on November 11, 1945 in Newman, CA. He grew up in Merced and graduated from Merced High School. After high school and attending some classes at Merced College, he enlisted in the Marines and was stationed at Marine Corps Camp Lejeune in North Carolina. From there, he served in Vietnam and was honorably discharged as a Sergeant.
Michael was married to his wife, Natlie Pimentel, just one month short of 40 years. He had one loving daughter, Paula Pimentel, and his beloved Great Dane, Jackson. He lived his professional life running a chicken/egg ranch in Merced with his father, before working as a truck driver. He retired from Foster Farms after over 30 years of dedication. After retirement, he enjoyed gardening and was very proud of his yard. He loved animals, trips to the ocean, and politics.
Michael was preceded in death by his father, Adelino Pimentel and his mother, Theresa Parker. He is survived by his wife, Natlie Pimentel; daughter, Paula Pimentel; sister and brother-in-law, Patricia and Dayton Clement; along with a ton of nieces and nephews, brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, great-nieces and nephews, and godchildren. He was loved by all who knew him and his distinctive laugh will never be forgotten.
A visitation will be held from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m., followed by the Rosary at 12 p.m. and the funeral service at 12:30 p.m., on Tuesday, March 9, 2021. All services will be conducted at Turlock Funeral Home, 425 N. Soderquist Rd., Turlock. Michael will be laid to rest at San Joaquin Valley National Cemetery at a later date.
