Mildred F. Spirlock, 86, of Modesto passed away on March 21st due to major injuries received when struck by a car while out walking.
She was born on April 27th, 1928 in Non, Oklahoma. She was the youngest of 5 children, all who have preceded her in death.
A wonderful Mother and homemaker, Mildred was an excellent cook and enjoyed preparing meals for her family and pies and cakes for neighbors. She was especially good at making divinity candy and coconut pies. Besides her cooking, she will be remembered by her neighbors for her lovely flowers and daily walks through the neighborhood. Never desiring to drive a car, she mostly walked where ever she wanted to go. 
She was married to Robert H. Spirlock for 50 years until he preceded her in death in 1998. She is survived by 5 sons, Ricky, Jim, Ron and Phillip Spirlock of Modesto and Jerry Spirlock of Arizona; 3 grandchildren, 1 great-grandchild; a sister-in-law, Joyce Johnson of Hanford; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be Thursday, April 2nd from 5-7pm at People's Funeral Chapel, 501 N. Douty St., in Hanford, CA. Graveside Services will be held on Friday, April 3rd at 1pm at Grangeville Cemetery, 10428 14th Ave. in Armona, CA.
