Waterford, California - With love and remembrance, we announce the passing of our Mom, Nancy Lou Petty, who went to be with the Lord on November 25, 2024, at the age of 74. Born in Alameda, California, on September 24, 1950, Nancy spent most of her life in Modesto and Waterford, where she was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend.
Nancy retired from Seneca Foods/Tri Valley 7 after 43 years of dedicated service. She was known for her warm heart, kind spirit, and unwavering love for her family. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 40 years, Richard Petty. Nancy is survived by her children: David Petty, Heidi Ridenour (Ron Jr.), and Heather Petty (Philip), as well as her grandchildren, Hollee Lou, Kyle Doyle, and Maddison Lee. She also leaves behind two sisters, a brother, nieces, nephews, and many dear friends, along with her significant other, John Simmons, and his family.
A graveside service to celebrate Nancy's life will be held at Lakewood Memorial Park on the Friday before Mother's Day, May 9, 2025. The time will be announced closer to the date.
Nancy's love, light, and legacy will forever live in the hearts of all who knew her. She will be deeply missed.

My deepest condolences to Both of my sisters and my brother for the loss of their mom. She will be missed by so many, but now she is with Dad and everyone that has gone before her. Nanny we love you and we will miss you, and I hope that you rest in eternal peace. I will be praying for strength and peace for Heidi, Heather, and David. I hope God shows them each what they need to ease their grief, whatever that may be. I love each and every one of you. Your mom was an amazing woman. RIP Nanny, we love you.
