Modesto, California - Peter Postma was born March 6, 1960 to John and Anne Postma in Escalon, Ca. He is the third of 7 children. Lynda Van Laar (Jim), Willem Postma (Deborah), Neda Tazelaar (Kevin), Tricia Van Vuren (Wes), Alice Koetsier (Ian) Thelma Grace (Ken). He was born and raised in the dairy industry and continued that tradition with his own sons. He was married for 30 years to Tamara Coppedge and together they had 4 children. Jonathan Postma (Amie), LeeAna Brichetto (John Michael), Jack Postma (Angie) and Dana Prins (Cody) and 16 beautiful grandchildren.
Pete was known far and wide within the agricultural community. His generosity and helping hand were noticed by all who had the privilege of interacting with him. In addition to working on the dairy and irrigating the crops, he loved to go fishing whether in the boat or along the creek, always enjoying the beautiful creation God gave him. He also enjoyed planting a variety of colorful flowers in his yard throughout the year.
Pete passed away with family by his side in the early morning hours of Friday November 4th, at the age of 62. He was preceded in death by his father, John and will be dearly missed. A Memorial service for Pete will be held Wednesday, November 16, 2022 at 10:30 a.m. at the Escalon Christian Reformed Church.
