Raenelle Sederquist Obituary

Raenelle Dorthy Sederquist, formerly of Turlock, California, passed away peacefully at her home in Panama City Beach, Florida, on August 8, 2025, surrounded by her loving husband and immediate family. She was born on June 19, 1942, in Turlock to Ray and Nellie Conyers.

Raenelle grew up in Turlock and graduated from Turlock High School in 1960. In 1962, she married Loren Sederquist, and together they shared 61 years of marriage. She was preceded in death by her parents and her sister, Judy McIntosh.

Raenelle is survived by her husband, Loren; her son, John Sederquist; her daughter-in-law, Tami Sederquist; and her grandsons, John Thomas and Daniel.

She worked for the family business, Sederquist Construction, managing the office with care and efficiency. Later, she spent over two decades at Turlock Dental Arts, where she was appreciated for her warmth and dedication. Raenelle also volunteered at Emanuel Hospital Cancer Center, offering support to patients and their families.

Travel was a cherished part of Raenelle's life. With Loren, she explored the West, Hawaii, the Bahamas, and Mexico. They were longtime members of the Encinal Yacht Club and spent over 30 years sailing on San Francisco Bay.

Raenelle maintained close bonds with friends and family throughout her life. She shared a special connection with cousins Barbara Ochoa, JoAnn Carlucci, Dan Lewis, and Doug Lewis (deceased), as well as her lifelong friend Marjorie Gatewood Young. She was also a member of a local sorority for women in Turlock.

Her love of gardening brought beauty into the lives of those around her. Raenelle will be remembered for her gentle spirit, generous heart, and unwavering kindness. Her legacy is one of love and quiet strength.

Doug always thought of Raenelle as a beautiful soul. As her cousin, he felt close to her throughout their entire journey in life. He often said that John felt more like a nephew than a cousin, and he was just as proud of John´s accomplishments as Raenelle was. I believe that he and Raenelle are now sharing the next chapter of their lives together, just as they did in childhood, and that they are watching over all of us.

I will always remember Raenelle for her attention to detail at family gatherings and for her warm, welcoming personality. She was always making sure that everyone was taken care. She had a way of making our family feel like her own. We miss her deeply, but we will continue to stay close to John and his family, just as she would want us to.

God bless you all.

With love,
Diana Lewis and Family
