Modesto, California - Ralph Maas, born in Wisconsin Rapids, Wisconsin on September 2, 1934, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on January 1, 2023. Ralph loved his family and is survived by his wife of 60 years, Judy (Coates) Maas; children: Jerry Maas (Angela) of Hollister, Brian Maas of San Jose, Shelley Johnston (Mark) of Modesto and Kevin Maas (Crissy) of Modesto; grandchildren: Grace Johnston, Isaac Johnston, Faith Maas, and Aletheia Johnston; brothers in Wisconsin: Philip Maas (Shirley), Harold Maas (Mary) and sister in Illinois: Ann Wilcox. Ralph lived in Modesto, CA since 2018 and San Jose, CA 1978 to 2018.
Visitation will be held at Franklin-Downs Funeral Home, 1050 McHenry Ave., Modesto, CA 95350, January 17, 2023 from 9:00-11:00 a.m. followed by the burial service at San Joaquin Valley National Cemetery, 32053 McCabe Rd., Santa Nella/Gustine, CA. Arrive promptly at 12:30 p.m.
At 2:00 p.m. a Memorial Service is planned for January 28, 2023 and a Memorial Missions Fund is set up for Ralph Maas at First Baptist Community Church, 17765 Daves Avenue, Los Gatos, CA 95030.
