RANDAL ANTHONY ATCHISON APR 20, 1986 - NOV 3, 2010 Randal Anthony Atchison, 24, passed away unexpectedly in Sacramento, California on November 3, 2010. Randal, affectionately known as Randy, was born on April 20, 1986 in Roseville, CA., to James and Andrea (Schallberger) Atchison. He was the oldest of four children born to this union. Randy attended Ceres High School, where he lettered in basketball, baseball and football. He was very competitive and didn't like to lose, no matter what he played. While in high school, Randy enrolled in criminal justice classes where his teacher, Randy Cerny, inspired him to pursue his dream in a law enforcement career. Upon graduation from high school, Randy continued his love for law enforcement and became a Modesto Police Department Explorer. He also continued to be active in the community by helping his Dad coach Ceres youth basketball, football and baseball and officiating at youth sports events. Randy met the love of his life, Kimberlee Andrada, 3 years ago and to this union, a baby girl, Kaylee Lynn Atchison was born on October 4, 2010. Randy was a very proud father and let everyone know it. Kaylee was the apple of her daddy's eye. Randy was accepted into the California Highway Patrol Academy as a Cadet on October 25, 2010 and was honored to be fulfilling his life long dream to join the law enforcement community. Randy enjoyed playing video games, river rafting and spending time with his family and friends. He was known as a family guy. Randy was a devoted son, loving brother and proud father. He is survived by his daughter; Kaylee, mom; Andrea, dad; James, brothers; Zachary and Chad, sister; Alissa, girlfriend Kimberlee and a host of relatives and friends. Randy will forever be missed by all who knew and loved him. A visitation will be held on Wednesday, November 10th from 4 PM to 8 PM at Lakewood Funeral Home (Riverside Chapel), 900 Santa Fe, Hughson, CA. A church service will take place at St. Jude's Catholic Church, 3824 Mitchell Rd., Ceres, CA. at 10:00 AM on November 11th, with burial tofollow at Lakewood Memorial Park. The family is requesting that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the trust account for Kaylee Lynn Atchison at the C.A.H.P. Credit Union, 2843 Manlove Rd., Sacramento, CA. 95826.
