Richard Manrique went home to be with his Lord on September 9th, 2018 surrounded by his family. Richard was born March 10, 1937, in Oakdale, Ca. to Serapio and Mary Manrique.
He was preceded in death by his parents, 7 brothers, 4 sisters, one grandson, one great-grandson, his son Paul Steven Jones, daughter Kelly Dawn Manrique and son William Jaspar. He is survived by his wife Donna Manrique, his children Preston (Synthia) Wright, Kimberly Jaspar, Demoree (Joel) Zuniga, Paulette Niday, Richard (Emily) Manrique, 19 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren, his two brothers, Julius (Barbara) Manrique, Tony (Barbara) Manrique, and sister Alice Garcia.
He grew up in Oakdale, Ca. and attended Oakdale High School, where he played football and graduated in 1956. He proudly serviced in the United States Army and was honorably discharged in 1962 at the rank of Corporal. He worked as a welder for Bambacigno Steel and the Mill Wrights. He attended Calvary Temple and was baptized there in 1994 by his son Richard Manrique.
Graveside service will be held at Ceres Memorial Park on Friday, September 14th at 10am.
