Modesto, California - Robert (Bob) E. Gotelli, beloved husband, father grandfather and great-grandfather, passed away Wednesday June 9th 2021. Born to Louis and Agnes Gotelli on February 1, 1939 in San Francisco, California. The family soon after moved to Stockton, CA. where Bob was raised.
In 1967, Bob moved his young family to Modesto where he began his career in the insurance industry of 50 years.
Bob was very proud to be one of the original founders of Modesto Youth Soccer Association, which still flourishes today and was a true passion of his. His many other clubs and associations he served in were Civitan, Kiwanis, Stanislaus County Mental Health Council, Independent Insurance Agents Association, and Rotary. He proudly served as a Director on the Board of Casa de Modesto Retirement Center for twenty years, where he spent his final days following several strokes.
Above all, Bob's greatest love was his family; his wife of 40 years, Dee, and his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was proud of his Italian/German heritage and constantly spoke of them.
Bob was happiest when golfing, gardening and playing poker with his many friends, as well as, softball while he and Dee lived in the Del Webb community.
Bob is survived by his wife, Dee, and children, Lisa, Rob, Tana and Jennifer; grandchildren Alex, Lauren, Kelli, Cash, Sebastian, and Bode, and great-grandchild Avery. He was preceded in death by sister, Patricia.
A Service Honoring Robert (Bob) E. Gotelli will be held at Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church 505 West Granger Avenue Modesto, CA. 95350 on June 29, 2021 @ 10:00 a.m.
