Ryan Geyer Obituary

Ryan Charles Geyer
Aug 1979 ~ March 2013
Ryan Geyer of Modesto passed away unexpectedly at the young age of 33; while at home with his family on Sunday.  Ryan was born in Kennewick, WA to Howard Geyer and Kelly Jason. Ryan has lived in Modesto for more then 30 years; and is a graduate of Beyer High School.  Ryan was married to the love of his life ~ Melissa Gomes in 2009; they settled into their Modesto home and welcomed the birth of their son Charley soon after. Ryan was preceded in death by his son in 2010.Ryan loved spending time with his family and friends, tinkering in the garage, and spending a quiet afternoon at the reservoir fishing. Ryan was often described as larger than life. He truly, was a friend to all.  His greatest passion outside of his family was his faith and his greatest joy was to be a blessing to others. Ryan lived his Christian life out loud and with a giving spirit.  Ryan attended Living Faith Fellowship in Denair, CA. We find peace in knowing that "Although he is absent from his body he is present with the LORD" Ryan you will be missed...Ryan is survived by his wife Melissa Geyer of Modesto, his mom Karen Geyer of Stockton, birth mother Kelly Jason; grandmother Betty Giles of Mt Vernon, IL.; sisters April Snider of Millwood, WA and Diana Snider of Spokane, WA; mother and father-in-law Lori and Gary Gomes of Turlock, CA; and brother and sister-in-law Joshua and Jamie Gomes of Modesto, CA. Ryan is preceded in death by his son Charley Geyer and father Howard Geyer.
A celebration of life will be held at Allen Mortuary on Sunday, March 10th at 3:00 p.m.

Ryan my friend and my brother. Words can not express the hole in my heart from the loss of you. Damit we had just started on our journey of plans that we had worked out for our prosperity in business to give a better life to our familys. I know god works his ways for a reason but its hard for me to figure this one out. I have struggeld every day at work missing my right hand man I miss you so much. My heart hurts to not be able to see you in the morning as we get ready to work or find an excuse not to and go fish. My thoughts and prayers are with your familey and friends. Ryan Geyer A.K.A Kowski I love you and will miss you until we meet again.
