Modesto, California - Sandra L. Stacy (November 11, 1939 - November 26, 2024), a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away on November 26, 2024.
Born on November 11, 1939, in Oakland, CA. to Larry and Louise Bishop. Moved to Modesto, CA. in the 1940's where she later graduated from Thomas Downey High School, Modesto Junior College Nursing Program, and University of New York Regents Nursing Program.
A dedicated worker, Sandra worked at Doctors Medical Center for thirty years as a Registered Nurse in the Oncology Department. Her life's passion was helping others.
Sandra loved family get-togethers, holidays, yearly camping trips, gardening, painting, quilting, and spoiling her grandchildren. She was a long time member of Trinity Baptist Church.
Sandra is survived by her daughters, Cindy Souza, Carey Gibson, Christine Souza, Ruth Stacy, and daughter-in-law Terri Stacy; sister, Linda Rogers; grandchildren, Salvador Bautista (Megan), Ashley Harper, Courtney Gibson, Michael Stacy, Aaron Stacy (PJ), William Stacy, and four great grandchildren.
Preceded in death by her parents, Larry and Louise Bishop; beloved husband of 43 years, Bill Stacy; son, Jack Stacy; grandson, Louie Bautista; brother-in-law, Blaine Rogers; sister-in-law, Geri Dorsey; and son-in-laws, Manuel Baltazar and Lewis Gibson.
A celebration of Sandra's Life will take place at 12 p.m. on January 25, 2025 at Trinity Baptist Church, located at 1346 Ronald Avenue, Modesto, CA.
In lieu of flowers, please make a memorial contribution to Trinity Baptist Church or the Wounded Warrior's Project.
